Short Profile of Professor Paul Obo Idornigie, SAN, PhD, LLM, FCIS (London), FCIArb(UK), Chartered Arbitrator, Notary Public Professor Paul Obo Idornigie, a University Scholar, holds a doctorate degree in International Commercial Arbitration; is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (London); Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK); Chartered Arbitrator; member, London Court of International Arbitration; member, African Arbitration Association; member, Lagos Court of Arbitration; member, member, International Bar Association and Commonwealth Lawyers Association. He is on the Panel of Neutrals at the Abuja and Asaba Multi-door Courthouses, Lagos Court of Arbitration and the Panel of Arbitrators at the Lagos Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration, Lagos, Nigeria and Nigerian Communications Commission, Abuja, Nigeria. BRIEF PROFILE OF CHIEF BAYO OJO, SAN CON C.Arb Bayo Ojo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1978 after graduating from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 1977. He obtained LL.M from the London School of Economics, University of London and later got admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. He is a former Attorney General and Minister of Justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, past President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), past Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Nigeria Branch. He is a member of the ICSID Panel of Arbitrators, Washington, DC, a member of the Panel of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, Hague, Netherlands, a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK and President of the African Users’ Council of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). He is currently the President of the African Arbitration Association.

Barr. Sarah Ugochukwu Ndukwu was born in Onitsha, Anambra State on 29th August, 1959 to the family of Mr. And Mrs. Madunor Chidi Emenike of Nkwerre, Imo State. She obtained LL.B. From the University of Nigeria Nsukka (Enugu Campus) and LL.M from the University of Houston, Texas, U.S.A.


Dr. Nnamdi Dimgba is a Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria. Graduating in the top 2 of his class at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (Enugu Campus), Justice Dimgba was called to the Nigerian Bar in September 1999. Recognized as Nigeria’s leading expert on Competition Law, Justice Dimgba has had a most exciting career and a remarkable mix of experiences. He started his professional career in the Tax and Legal Services Division of Arthur Andersen Nigeria (KPMG Professional Services).

Babatunde J. Fagbohunlu SAN Aluko & Oyebode

Babatunde Fagbohunlu SAN Babatunde is a partner and head of the Litigation, Arbitration and ADR Practice Group in Aluko & Oyebode. In December 2008, Tunde was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) by the Nigerian Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee (a Nigerian equivalent of Queen’s Counsel). He regularly represents Nigerian as well as foreign and multinational clients in Ad Hoc arbitrations and arbitrations administered by arbitral institutions. He has served as a counsel in a number of big ticket arbitration Tunde has also served on the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Committee on the Reform and Harmonization of Arbitration/ADR Laws. He is a member the London Court of International Arbitration (African Users Council), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK and a member of the International Arbitration Institute (IAI) in Paris. He also presently serves on the ICCA/Queen Mary University Task Force on Third Party Funding in International Arbitration. He is a member of the LCIA Court, and he chairs the Management Board of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce International Arbitration Centre (LACIAC).
